Hi, My name is Priyal! A little information (overload) about me - I was born in Mumbai and was living the perfect first bencher nerd school life till I stumbled upon rifle shooting at the age of 13. Since then, I have never looked back. The next decade of my life was transformational - I represented India for 7 years as a member of the Indian rifle shooting team, won over a 100 medals and broke 3 national records. All this while, the headstrong nerd in me focused on crushing my academic goals, as I finished the Chartered Accountancy course with flying colors. Life has not always been only about books and rifles - having seen my share of ups and downs I was passionate about driving a positive change in the lives of the underprivileged members of society. In 2018 I started the Play and Shine foundation, through which I work at the intersection of sports and sustainability, aiming to better the lives of children. Following my impactful work in the space of gender equality, I was one of the eight women invited by UN Women India as a Generation Equality Ally for working towards women empowerment and gender equality across the Indian diaspora. I am also one of the top content creators on LinkedIn who was selected for their prestigious Creator Accelerator Program in India. I have spoken about my experiences through 5 TEDx talks and have given guest lectures at some of the best colleges in the country like IIT-B, SRCC etc Amidst all these highlights, my ultimate life goal still remains unfulfilled - To get myself a dog.
